Surreal Paintings by Corine Perier
Corine Perier was born in Paris where she lives and works. Encouraged from her young age, she studied at the Beaux-Arts. Her artistic sensibility has always made her appreciate the inherent beauty of the mystery, and naturally she first initiated painting restoration to understand all the secrets of paintings. Rich in experience, she decided in 2006 to devote herself entirely to her own painting and exhibiting her work. Her paintings depict surreal animals in depopulated landscapes.
Through her paintings, she deals with the contemporary problem of the disappearance of species on a planet in flux. She adds a touch of strangeness to her works, painting a dream world where fantasies and dreams live together. Influenced by the Flemish masters’technique,she paints in oil on wood panels in thin layers and glosses to get the desired result.
